Resolution.
The President explained that attendance at meetings in recent years had been poor; it had been difficult to attract new members to the YOS. The President invited anyone who wished to run the YOS in the future too indicate their intention; this would be at least 6 people. Nobody volunteered. The Council had arranged this AGM and he invited members to consider the resolution. "This meeting resolves to close the Yorkshire Optical Society and instructs the YOS Council so to do." This was agreed by a unanimous vote of the members present.
The President introduced Andrew Thornton and invited him to give the Owen Aves lecture “Primary Care OCT: A practical Discussion.”
The vote of thanks was given by J Goacher.
